Jim Brekke is an independent consultant with 40 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry focused on mobile offshore drilling units. Jim served in management and technical positions with an operator, a drilling contractor, a classification society, and a consulting firm. Jim spent the past 3 years coordinating the SNAME J-REG JIP on guidelines for offshore windfarm jack-ups. He is past chair of the SNAME Offshore Technical and Research Committee and a Fellow of SNAME.
