Bio
Ms. Ghazizadeh is a licensed Civil Engineer with a master’s degree in Structural Engineering and over 10 years of experience in the renewable and offshore industry. She has contributed to a diverse range of pioneering engineering projects with a major focus on offshore wind farms and construction. Sara has been involved in feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and design of multiple Offshore and Onshore wind projects since 2011. She led the primary steel FEED for two of the DOE granted offshore windfarms (Fishermen’s Energy and VOWTAP) and supported the detailed engineering and transportation analysis of Block Island Windfarm, the first offshore windfarm in the US. Sara is experienced in detailed design and review of various types of substructures such as monopile, jackets, tripods, Inward Battered Guide Structure (IBGS), GBS and suction buckets. She utilizes her MSc’s background of dynamics of structures and random vibrations to perform complex time-history analyses for Ultimate, Fatigue, Service, and Operational limit states and soil/structure interaction. In addition to her technical background, Sara's previous experiences in fabrication support and loadout engineering for large-scale structures, novel Hyperloop test and development, and infrastructure construction have equipped her with a holistic and commercial vision to execute challenging projects.
