Jim’s experience spans over 30 years in the offshore industry, both domestically as well as internationally. Starting in 1987 as a hawsepiper, Jim worked up to the rank of master, sailing on offshore construction vessels, AHTS’s, and PSV’s, as well as shore based marine operations management prior to founding BMS in 2008.

From its humble beginnings, BMS has grown into a recognized leader in the marine and project assurance industry with a staff of master mariners, engineers, and project managers with hundreds of years of combined offshore industry knowledge including marine, subsea, drilling, and SBM design operation and maintenance as well as an ever-growing capacity within the offshore wind industry.
