Bio
Mike Taylor currently serves as Head of Ports for Equinor Wind’s US portfolio, where he is responsible for acquiring and developing the port facilities required to support Equinor’s offshore wind activities in the United States. 

Since joining Equinor’s Renewables organization in 2021, Mike has spearheaded Equinor’s engagement at numerous ports, most notably its South Brooklyn Marine Terminal offshore wind staging and operations hub in New York City that is currently in development. Mike also led the port-related components of Equinor's offtake agreements with NYSERDA for its Empire Wind and Beacon Wind projects.

Mike began his career in the oil & gas industry over 20 years ago as a negotiator of large engineering, procurement and construction contracts. He then pivoted into project management and execution, with roles in project management, engineering, project controls & construction management. Over the course of his career, Mike has worked on major projects in eleven countries and six continents. In 2019, he joined Equinor’s oil & gas division with the goal of eventually transitioning to offshore wind, and in 2021, he joined Equinor’s US Renewables division as a Project Developer. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.
